The food markets in Italy follow complex structures that are difficult to understand and navigate through as a foreigner. The aim of the mapping project “Sondare il mercato – Feel the market” is to unfold this world of senses and reveal the hidden influences on a typical Italian market. The market that is investigated is located in Catania, Sicily, and is called “Fera o’ Luni”. The market takes place every Saturday from the morning until the afternoon. The variety of products and the way they are promoted by the vendors can be overwhelming. The map intends to facilitate foreigners with the necessary information on how to navigate and decide on the best products as they visit the market "Fera o'Luni".
